Today I am thankful for:
~snuggling with my daughter in the mornings and with my husband at night.
~a chance to use my new umbrella. That’s not a cutesy way of saying I’m thankful for the rain — it’s a way of saying that my new rainbow umbrella is giant and easy to manage and awesome.
~rain galore.
~chocolate with bread in it. Because it’s chocolate, with bread in it. I think Joan of Arrgh told me about this a while back, so when I saw it in Wild Oats I had to snag it.
~a chance to have lunch with Brittney before she leaves for California. I can’t make it to her going away / birthday party, so anyone who goes needs to have a margarita or three for me.
~Pea’s moon phase commentary last week. "A white banana in the sky." "A lemon." "A almond."
~Tina Fey. I like to think that we could be really good friends. I like to think that she’s a funnier, prettier, skinnier, and smarter version of me. What, you can’t see it?
~visiting old friends in my dreams.
~people pledging to only give handmade gifts this holiday season, whether they buy them or make them. I’m not sure if I’m going to make this pledge, but I do think it’s a great idea.
~procrastination in small doses.
~David asking me if I want an iPhone. I don’t think I can justify owning such a thing, but I’m glad he asked me. (I may end up with one anyway, though.)
~our first ever mother / daughter matchy-matchy outfits being glow-in-the-dark skeleton pajamas. There will be pictures when I can get my camera and computer to play nicely again.
~my first hot coffee drink of the season.
~our first box of clementines of the season.
~Halloween just around the corner.
~GOING TO CHICAGO THIS WEEKEND. A THANKFUL THING WORTHY OF ALL CAPS AND MULTIPLE EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!
