*thankful thursday, 2.7.08*
Today I am thankful for:
~Pea’s recent "I wrote a song for you!" phase. The other day she wrote a song for me about how I am her "special lucky ice cream."
~being practically the only people at the zoo Tuesday. It was cloudy but warm.
~lemon creme cookies.
~David feeling better after a long weekend of sick.
~Pea learning to spell her name, Mama, and Pop.
~knock-knock jokes.
~excitement about our upcoming swimming lessons.
~Malia taking care of Pea yesterday morning. Pea was beyond thrilled to spend some time with her friend Gman.
~quiet moments, whether with David, with Pea, with the three of us, or all by myself.
~no sign of mice in over 24 hours.
~David’s zeal for DIY extermination.

Honestly, I’m glad we’re not the only ones with a mouse problem this winter.
I keep all my pantry/bulk items in Tupperware, but they’ve chewed through any other packaging they can find.
What are you using to, uh, cross them off your list?
We’re using a battery-powered “humane kill” trap. A little pricy, but clean, supposedly painless, and very reusable.
